Most people did not agree on San Francisco’s decision to allow defensive tackle Ray McDonald to play while he was under investigation for domestic violence. After the Ray Rice video and Greg Hardy conviction it seemed like a morally questionable decision by the team.  However, the Santa Clara D.A.’s office announced they will not be pressing charges against McDonald.  The reasoning being there was not enough evidence to pursue charges.

A 9-1-1 call was placed at McDonald’s home and the caller said he was hitting his pregnant girlfriend.  When police arrived, McDonald was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence.  The alleged victim had bruises on her, but did not want to cooperate with police.  The district attorney stated because of differing stories, there are still unsure what actually happened that day in August.
