Patriots owner Robert Kraft has made it clear that he stands behind his head coach and quarterback in their denial of wrongdoing. Both Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have vehemently denied playing any role in deflating of the footballs used during the AFC Championship against the Indianapolis Colts.

Kraft released a statement saying if the investigation the NFL has launched turns up no evidence of tampering by the Patriots, then the team is owed an apology. He said, “If the Wells investigation is not able to definitely determine that our organization tampered with the air pressure in the footballs, I would expect and hope that the league would apologize to our entire team, and in particular, Coach Belichick and Tom Brady, for what they have had to endure this past week.”

He continued by expressing his disappointment in how this situation has played out in the public over the last week.  “I am disappointed in the way this entire matter has been handled and reported upon. We expect hard facts as opposed to circumstantial leaked evidence to drive the conclusion of this investigation.”

The NFL is currently looking at a locker room attendant who they believe may be responsible for the lowered psi level.  Allegedly the attendant took the footballs to an unknown location after they were inspected by the referees. The investigation is expected to continue for several more weeks.
