His name has been dragged through the mud all week. Â Accusations of being a bully and a racist. Â Suspended Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito sat down with Fox’s Jay Glazer for an interview. Â He repeated everything that his teammates were friends. Â They had a big brother-little brother relationship. Â So where did it all go wrong?
When you ask Incognito he states that Martin texted him that it is not his fault. Â Incognito said that Martin told him, “IÂ don’t blame you guys, I blame some stuff in the locker room, I blame the culture, I blame what was going on around me. ” As for using the n-word, he explains that it was a word that is tossed around in the locker room by players of all races. Â He feels that using that word does not make him a racist. Â So, does it make it okay to toss that word around so lightly? Â Definitely not and that seems to be the problem.
As more details emerge, I think everyone is ready to hear what Martin has to say for himself. Â There is a lot of oneside-ness being shown to the public. Â Teammates have said they would prefer Incognito in the locker room. Â Martin’s attorney claims that he was physically threatened, but teammates denied that this was the truth. Â If it was, however, how were coaches in the dark about this? Â It seems impossible, but anything is impossible with this story.
