Darrelle-Revis-Possibe-TradesAfter days of rumors that the Jets are cutting ties with their star corner back and the 49ers being his potential new home, it seems that may not be the case.  Yes, the Jets are clearly trying to trade the injured player, but San Francisco may not be the destination.  A source close with the 49ers explained their interest as, “.001 on a scale of 1-10”.  Even though a trade to San Francisco would make the most sense because both teams get what they need, it does not seem to be happening.   The 49ers could have gotten a guy who can shut down half the field and make them Super Bowl contenders again, while the Jets could get draft picks who can help rebuild their franchise.  Leave it to the Jets to still make headlines in the offseason for all the wrong reasons.

What the Jets are doing is embarrassing to themselves and their fans.  Clearly, they do not want to take care of the only guy who is bringing fans out to games.  Fans do not want to see Mark Sanchez run into an offensive lineman’s butt again, although some of us definitely would!  However, the Jets have showed loyalty to the wrong players.  Revis has been a captain of that defense and led them to two AFC Championship games.  Mark Sanchez brought them to the laughing stock of the NFL.  Yet, Sanchez got a contract extension and became one of the highest paid quarterbacks, while Revis is being tossed to the side like he is the reason for their problems. When will the Jets ever figure things out?
