Anaheim Ducks

Defenseman Cam Fowler was placed on injured reserve Monday because of a sprained knee suffered in Anaheim’s 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers last Sunday. The Ducks have not given a time frame for Fowler’s return.

 

Arizona Coyotes

Centerman Martin Hanzal has been placed on injured reserve due to a lower body injury. It is unclear as to when Hanzal was placed on injured reserve, because he has been out of play since Dec.19. He will return to play again once healthy.

Forward Boyd Gordon was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday as the result of a head injury. There is no time frame for Gordon’s return, but the earliest he could return to the ice would be Monday night, in the Yotes’ game against the Canucks.

 

Boston Bruins

Center David Krejci was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday because of an upper body injury. Krejci sustained the injury in the Bruins’ loss against the Ottawa Senators last Sunday. Krejci missed the Winter Classic due to the injury, but will return to the ice once he is healthy again.

 

Chicago Blackhawks

Center Marcus Kruger was placed on injured reserve on Monday due to a wrist injury. Kruger received surgery on his wrist and is expected to return in mid-April.

 

Columbus Blue Jackets

Forward Matt Calvert received a knee sprain in Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Stars. Calvert will miss four weeks due to the sprained ligaments in his knee.

 

Minnesota Wild

Forward Zach Parise was sidelined on Wednesday because of a knee injury. The severity of Parise’s injury has not been revealed but it was said that it is related to a previous injury. Parise is day-to-day and his status will be updated soon.

 

Montreal Canadiens

Forward Dale Weise was injured during the Winter Classic on Friday, leaving the game in the second period following a cross-check from Bruin Kevan Miller and being struck with a shot puck while in traffic on the ice. The injury has been listed as an upper-body injury.

New Jersey Devils

Center Jacob Josefson was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday because of a lower body injury.

New York Islanders

Defenseman Johnny Boychuk was placed on injured reserve on Friday as the result of an upper-body injury. Boychuk sustained this injury during the team’s game against the Sabres on Tuesday, after Jack Eichel dodged his hit and Boychuk hit into the boards. The severity of Boychuk’s injury, and a return estimate, will be revealed once he is evaluated by the team’s doctors next week.

 

Washington Capitals

Center Jay Beagle was placed on injured reserve on Thursday becaue of an upper-body injury he sustained in the Caps’ game against the Sabres. Beagle left the second period of the game and did not return. Beagle’s injury will require surgery, and he will be out indefinitely.

 

Winnipeg Jets

Center Mark Scheifele was placed on injured reserve on Sunday after receiving a concussion at practice the day before. Scheifele will be out indefinitely as he recovers from his concussion.
