Here is a status update for injuries affecting each NHL team:

Anaheim Ducks

Jiri Sekac, injured in Sunday’s game against the Nashville Predators, has been placed on injured reserve for an ankle sprain. The team has listed Sekac’s return as to-be-determined.

Rickard Rakell left Wednesday night’s game against the Florida Panthers in the second period due to an upper body injury. The nature of Rakell’s injury is still unknown; he remains on a day-to-say basis.

Boston Bruins

Bruin’s forward Chris Kelly will remain sidelined for six to eight months after suffering a broken left femur in Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Stars. Kelly took an awkward fall to the ice after getting slightly tangled up with Star’s forward Colton Sceviour while chasing the puck. Kelly underwent surgery on Wednesday and will need six to eight months for recovery.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets announced Wednesday that forward David Clarkson has been placed on injured reserve due to a back injury. Clarkson received the back injury when he fell after an awkward collision with San Jose Sharks’ center Joe Thornton during the third period of their game on Tuesday.  The Blue Jackets have said that they are expecting Clarkson to be out for at least a week.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers’ center Connor McDavid will be out indefinitely due to the broken left collarbone he received in the Oilers’ Tuesday night game against the Philadelphia Flyers. The NHL rookie of the month for October was skating down the rink in the second period with Flyer’s defensemen, Brandon Manning and Michael Del Zotto, when he lost his footing and the three fell and collided with the end boards.  McDavid underwent surgery on Wednesday and has a recovery time that could extend to a couple months.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild’s forward, Justin Fontaine, has been placed on injured reserve after spraining his MCL in the second period of Friday night’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Blackhawks’ forward Andrew Desjardins collided with Fontaine in a leg-to-leg hit. Fontaine’s sprain will keep him sidelines for four to six weeks.

Wild’s forward Zach Parise left in the first period of the Wild’s Thursday game against the Nashville Predators with a lower body injury after a collision with Predator’s forward James Neal. Neal and Parise had a knee-to-knee contact hit; there was no penalty call on Neal’s hit. Parise didn’t return to the game following his leaving of the ice.

New York Rangers

Rangers’ forward Rick Nash has been sidelined with a back injury he sustained in the Ranger’s Thursday practice in Colorado. Nash stated that this injury is similar to one that sidelines him a few days a couple of years ago. Head Coach Alain Vigneault has listed Nash as day-to-day; it is still unsure whether or not he will play Friday night’s game against the Colorado Avalanche.

St. Louis Blues

Blues’ goalie Brian Elliott has been sidelines with an injury after colliding with Blackhawks’ captain, Jonathan Toews. Toews was pushed into Elliott by Blues captain David Backes. Backes received an interference call and Elliott was taken out of the game because of apparent contact to the head from the collison.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Leafs’ goalie, Jonathan Bernier, has been placed on injured reserve due to a lower body injury. Bernier will remain sidelined on a day-to-day basis.

Vancouver Canucks

Canucks’ defensemen, Luca Sbisa, has been placed on injured reserve for an undisclosed injury that is believed to keep him sidelined on a week-to-week basis. The nature of his injury has not yet been confirmed.

Winnipeg Jets

Jets’ forward, Andrew Copp, has been placed on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury he received in the Jets game with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.  Copp will remain sidelines on a day-to-day basis.
