NFL free agency started less than 48 hours ago, but teams already look completely different! Â The craziness continued today with more players signing new contracts in new cities.
Andre Johnson has long been the face of the Houston Texans. Â Sadly, the team was never really too good and he never got a chance to experience a Super Bowl. Â After being released by the team earlier, he agreed on a new deal with a young team hungry for the same experience. Â Johnson tweeted that he is the newest member of the Indianapolis Colts; a pretty big upgrade in quarterback! Â A new three year deal for the veteran receiver who will be paired with TY Hilton, a real one-two punch for defensive backs.
Who would have thought last season’s rushing leader DeMarco Murray would be one of the only running backs without a deal? Â Murray and the Cowboys have not been able to come to an agreement, with the Cowboys lowballing the running back. Â Not many other teams have stepped forward with interest in Murray. Â One team that has however, is the Philadelphia Eagles. Â The Eagles traded LeSean McCoy and are in need of a star running back. Â Murray has been rumored to also have interest in signing with his former division rival. Â As if the Cowboys-Eagles games needed more drama, imagine Murray’s first game back to Jerry World! Â Murray has not made a decision yet, but rumors are swirling that he will decide tonight.
