With the 2015 season coming to a close, every other day we are  hearing about more coaching changes happening around the league. So many changes have happened that it is hard to keep up with them all. Here are the major changes that have happened so far in the offseason.

Buffalo Bills:

In: Assistant Defensive Back Coach Ed Reed and Control

Special Team Coach Kathryn Smith.

Just this past week Smith became the first female coach in the NFL.

Tennessee Titans

Out: Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt and General Manager Ruston Webster

In: Head Coach Mike Mularkey and General Manager Jon Robinson.

Mularkey was the assistant head coach/ tight end coach and was promoted to interim coach after the teams beginning 1-6 record. Robinson came from the Buccaneers as the Director of Player Personnel.

San Diego Chargers

Out: Offensive Coordinator Frank Reich and five assistant coaches.

In: Offensive Coordinator Ken Whisenhunt

Whisenhunt began the 2015 season as the head coach for the Tennessee Titans.

Philadelphia Eagles

Out: Head Coach Chip Kelly

In: Head Coach Doug Pederson

Pederson was the Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator this past season.

New York Giants

Out : Head Coach Tom Coughlin

In: Coach Ben McAdoo

Coughlin resigned as the Giants head coach, but there is still a chance we could see him continue coaching in 2016. The Giants decided to hire within the coaching staff and name McAdoo, former offensive coordinator, as the head coach.

Detroit Lions

Out: General Manager Martin Mayhew and President Tom Lewand

In: General Manger Bob Quinn

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Out: Head Coach Lovie Smith

In: Head Coach Dirk Koetter

Koetter was the former offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings hired former Eagles Offensive Coordinator Pat Shurmur, but have not given him an official title at the moment.

Green Bay Packers

Out: Tight End coach Jerry Fontenot and Running Back Coach Sam Gash

Seattle Seahawks

In: Linebacker Coach Michael Barrow, Assistant Offensive Line Coach Brennan Carroll, Assistant Linebacker Coach Lofa Tatupa and Defensive Coordinator Kris Richard.

St. Louis Rams

Out: Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Adam Bailey, Assistant Special Teams Coach Paul F. Boudreau, Offensive Assistant Coach Jeff Garcia, Wide Receiver Coach Ray Sherman, and Running Back Coach Ben Sirmans.

The Rams announced they will not be renewing the contracts of the above coaches.

Miami Dolphins

Out: Head Coach Joe Philbin, Interim Coach Dan Campbell, General Manager Dennis Hickey, and Defensive Coordinator Lou Anarumo.

In: Head Coach Adam Gase, Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph, Offensive Quality Control Coach Chris Kuper, and General Manger Chris Grier.

Gase is the former offensive coordinator of both the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos.  Joseph is the former defensive backs coach for the Cincinnati Bengals.  Kuper is a former Denver Broncos offensive guard.

Cincinnati Bengals

In: Defensive Line Coach Jacob Burney, Quarterback Coach Bill Lazor, and Defensive Back Coach Kevin Coyle.

Houston Texans

Out: Special Team Coach Bob Ligasheskey, Wide Receiver Coach Stan Hixon, and Defensive Assistant Coach Anthony Pleasant.

In: Special Team Coach Larry Izzo and Wide Receiver Coach Sean Ryan.

San Francisco  49ers

Out: Head Coach Jim Tomsula

In: Coach Chip Kelly

Kelly previously was the head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cleveland Browns

Out: General Manger Ray Farmer and Head Coach Mike Pettine

In: Head Coach Hue Jackson and Sashi Brown was promoted to Executive Director of Football Operations.

Jackson was previously the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals.  Brown will have full control over Cleveland’s Roster.

So far these are the only changes that have happened in the offseason, but after the Super Bowl there will likely be more to come.
