Little over a month ago the Los Angeles Lakers were crowned NBA champions inside the Disney bubble. Even as the season was put on hiatus due to COVID-19 in mid-march. NBA fans should be excited to know Christmas will come early this year with the start of the new season.

But before the season kicks-off on December 22nd, a lot still has to happen. The NBA Draft, free agency, and signing period will first take place. Starting with the 2020 NBA Draft which will be this week Wednesday, November 18th. This year unfortunately will look a little different. Like everything else, it will be conducted virtually due to the pandemic.

The event will be streamed live on ESPN at 7:00 PM EST. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum will be in studio announcing the first and second-round selections.

Next, the free agency period begins. There have already been rumblings about some players being on the move. Negotiations between players and teams can officially begin on Friday, November 20, at 6:00 PM EST. Lastly, before we officially get to see NBA basketball back on our screens, is signings. This period will begin Sunday, November, 22 at 12:01 PM EST. This is a much quicker turnaround time than in normal seasons which is usually a seven-day period. The 2020-21 season begins on December 22, 2020. The season will be 72 games, ten shorter than a usual NBA season.

Who do you think is on the move? What players are you hoping your team acquires before the start of the season?
