[UPDATE] Alex Rodriguez has been suspended 211 games. Starting August 8th and it will go through the end of the 2014 season.  He is appealing this decision and will be able to play while waiting on appeal.

After weeks and weeks of waiting, Major League Baseball has finally handed down most suspensions for those connected to the Biogenesis clinic.  It started with Brewers’ outfielder Ryan Braun accepting a 65 game suspension last month, but now a dozen players have accepted a 50 game suspension.  Some of the most notable players include Texas Rangers’ Nelson Cruz and Detroit Tigers’ Jhonny Peralta.

While Washington pitcher Gio Gonzalez and Oakland pitcher Bartolo Colon did not receive any punishment even though they were somehow connected to the clinic.  Surprisingly, Melky Cabrera was also not punished despite his suspension last year for using PEDs.  Unfortunately, there is still no word on Alex Rodriguez and the saga will continue a little longer.  He is expected to play tonight against the Chicago White Sox.

The Full List of Suspended Players:

Mets’ Jordanny Valdespin
