It is only Day One of the NBA playoffs and there has already a game winning buzzer beater and an injury… all in one game!  So far the Knicks have taken Game 1 from the Boston Celtics and the Nets are blowing the Derrick Rose-less Bulls out of Brooklyn.  However, it was the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors that provided all the drama fans live for in the playoffs.

On a sad note, Warriors star David Lee was forced to exit the game earlier after he landed awkwardly. He was helped off the court by head coach Mark Jackson where he was led into the locker room.  He was initially diagnosed with a right hip flexor strain and X-Rays came back negative.  While it is a possible good sign that the X-Rays did not show any structural damage, if he is unable to return for the rest of the playoffs, it could result in an early exit for the Warriors. More information will be revealed when Lee undergoes an MRI tomorrow.

While everyone is hoping that Lee can return for Game 2, veteran Andre Miller did not show any mercy for the Warriors.  With Game 1 on the line, he took the ball and the game into his own hands. He drove down the lane and made the layup to win the game for the Nuggets.  Leaving the Warriors down a game and possibly, down a very good player.
