Having a family member in the military has to be one of the most difficult things to deal with. Â The Hicks family knows how it feels and went to a Pensacola Ice Flyers game where they got the surprise of a lifetime. Â USAF Staff Sergeant Dwight Hicks is an active member of the military who his family thought was doing a tour, but instead showed up to the game. Â The Hicks family was called to center ice during the first intermission. Â Thinking they were just participating in a fan shootout for a prize against the Ice Flyers “backup goalie”, they got quite the surprise when the goalie took off his mask. Â I think you can imagine how this one ends, but take a look at the video to see the family welcome home their hero!
