The New York Rangers have begun the 2019-20 season with an undefeated 2-0-0 record, and they have to thank center Mika Zibanejad for that. The 26-year-old Swedish star is having an incredible start to his season, scoring an impressive EIGHT points in just two games!

The Rangers defeated the Winnipeg Jets 6-4 at their home opener on October 3rd, with Zibanejad having a four-point night! Just two days later, while the team played the Senators in Ottawa, Zibanejad netted himself a hat trick to give his team the 4-1 victory.

Zibanejad was also given NHL’s top star of the week last week after an unbelievable start. When asked, Mika Zibanejad told reporters after Saturday’s game, “I’m playing with good teammates and unbelievable players out there. I’m getting a lot of chances and they’re going in.”

Coach David Quinn also had high praise for his Swedish center, saying, “I’ve told everybody what a great player he is. I couldn’t be happier for him because there’s not a better guy.”

After a week long hiatus, the Blueshirts are back in action this Saturday afternoon against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers at the Garden. The Rangers are also one of just seven that remain undefeated in the NHL, and if Mika can keep this hot streak alive, the other teams better watch out!
