It is the battle of New York and for once, the Mets may have the advantage. Â The Mets have Matt Harvey on the mound to face the Bronx Bombers. Â Harvey has become one of the bright young stars in baseball and he will face the team he grew up rooting for. Â Harvey, a Connecticut native, said that he has been looking forward to competing against the Yankees. Â The Yankees will send out one of their best pitchers as well in Hiroki Kuroda. Â Kuroda has become their de facto ace as CC Sabathia has not fully recovered from offseason elbow surgery and Andy Pettitte being on the disabled list.
The Mets look a series at home tonight and with Harvey on the mound, they might be able to. Â Harvey will look to go 6-0 tonight, but will have to keep the Yankees swinging and missing. Â The Yankees have started playing small ball and if they can get on base, they will look to steal. Â This should be a classic pitching duel of a seasoned veteran and the new young stud. Â If the Mets can play smart like they seem to always do when Harvey is pitching, this should be a win for Queens. Â However, the Yankees are still the Yankees and beating them is never easy! Mets vs. Yankees- who you takin?
