It finally happened!! Calvin ‘Megatron’ Johnson broke Jerry Rice’s single season receiving yards. Â The record once stood at 1,848, but as of right now Johnson has sole possession with 1,871 yards. Â After breaking the record, he met with his dad to hand off the ball and have an adorable father-son hug.
It was only a matter of time before this receiver broke records. Â Now he wants to go for a 2,000 receiving year? Â If anyone can do it, Megatron can. Â He is about to have a 200 yard game and will need less than that next week to surpass the 2,000 mark. Â Wow, Detroit’s season might be in the toilet, but at least this guy always puts on a show and gives fans something to cheer for.
