Sad news coming out of Detroit. Lions’ wide receiver, Nate Burleson, was involved in a car accident last night and he was seriously injured. The crash took place at 2:25 AM and police say that Burleson was reaching for something that had fallen off his seat. That something has been determined to be pizza. When he reached down to pick it up, his car crashed into the median on I-696.
Burleson broke his arm in two places from the crash and will require surgery. Luckily, that was all the injuries that he suffered. Alcohol was determined NOT to be a factor in the crash and he was not cited any tickets. He may miss time on the field as he recovers from surgery.
