Sad news coming out of Detroit. Lions’ wide receiver, Nate Burleson, was involved in a car accident last night and he was seriously injured. Â The crash took place at 2:25 AM and police say that Burleson was reaching for something that had fallen off his seat. Â That something has been determined to be pizza. When he reached down to pick it up, his car crashed into the median on I-696.
Burleson broke his arm in two places from the crash and will require surgery. Luckily, that was all the injuries that he suffered. Â Â Alcohol was determined NOT to be a factor in the crash and he was not cited any tickets. Â He may miss time on the field as he recovers from surgery.
