After a lot of talk and intenseĀ anticipation, the Las Vegas NHL franchise is set to debut its name and logo on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. The unveiling, done by owner Bill Foley, general manager George McPhee, and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, will take place on the Toshiba Plaza, outside of the T-Mobile Arena.

The event will feature live entertainment, child-friendly activities, involvement from the local youth hockey players, and appearances by former NHL players. Fans will also be able to buy official team merchandise.

When asked about the franchise, Foley said, Ā “We have a name and logo that not only reflects the city’s unique environment, but that signifies strength and a team culture that never accepts defeat.”

The press event will be televised live on NHL Network and streamed live on NHL.com.

The Las Vegas NHL franchise will begin in the 2017-18 season.
