Pau Gasol, Al Jefferson

They might not be playing each other, but they are competing for the last playoff spot left in the Western Conference.  The Easter Conference is pretty much set except for Atlanta and Chicago fight for the fourth and fifth seeds.  The West is a complete mess with almost every seed still not locked in.  The biggest race is between the Los Angeles Lakers who currently hold the seventh seed and the Utah Jazz who are on the outside looking in.  The Lakers currently have the upper hand in the battle as they either have to win or Utah has to lose.  Utah, on the other hand, has to win AND the Lakers have to lose.

It is hard to believe that the Lakers are still relevant after all the drama they have had this season, but it looks like they are about to make the playoffs.  They will still be without superstar Kobe Bryant so I do not expect a deep playoff run, but getting this far is definitely an accomplishment.  Utah fell flat at the end of the season and looks like they will have to wait until next year to make a run at the championship.  Lakers vs. Jazz, who you takin?
