140402162445-michael-strahan-030214-story-topVery scary morning that could have ended a lot worse for former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan.  Andre Johnson, a 25-year old homeless man, showed up to the ABC building in New York City looking for Strahan. Johnson pulled out the knife after security did not let him into the building.

Seeing the blade, a police officer quickly stepped in and got the weapon out of Johnson’s hands.  The officer acted so quickly that the crowd outside did not notice the incident.  The suspect was quickly taken for questioning where he told officers he was there to “kill Michael Strahan”.  He was charged with attempted assault as a felony, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

Luckily, no one was hurt, but still a very scary situation.  Strahan was not made aware of the incident until much later in the day.
