kevin-huberPeople have a misconception that punters have the easiest job on the field. Try telling that to Cincinnati’s punter Kevin Huber who suffered a broken jaw and a cracked vertebrae last night.

It was a rough night for Huber.  It started with a muffed punt that resulted in the Steelers starting at their own one-yard line and scoring a touchdown.  As if that did not ruin Huber’s night, Antonio Brown returned a punt for 67 yards and a touchdown.  During that return, Huber found himself on the other side of a serious hit from Steelers Terence Garvin’s helmet. The punter laid on the ground motionless, but no flag was ever thrown for the hit.  Eventually, he did get up, but was gushing blood from his mouth.  Cincinnati went on to lose the game 30-20. The Bengals announced today that they will be placing the five year veteran on injury reserve.
