jonathan-martinDolphins Jonathan Martin leaving the team due to alleged bullying in the locker room has been the biggest debate topic in sports.  It has sparked the idea that maybe hazing in the locker room needs to be abolished all together.  Others say it is just the way it is in football, and there is nothing wrong with it.  No matter where you stand on the issue, only Martin knows how he was made to feel and what set him off.  Today, he met with Ted Wells, the attorney hired by the NFL to look into the issue.  Martin arrived with a companion to Wells’ Manhattan office this morning.

Martin is also supposed to meet with the Dolphins owner Stephen Ross who described this issue as his “worst nightmare”.    Martin is allegedly being treated for depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  PTSD is commonly seen in soldiers returning home from battle and those who survived a horrific incident.  If it is true that he does suffer from PTSD then clearly this locker room was an unhealthy place to be around.  The good news is that people close to Jonathan say that he does want to play football again.
