Dolphins Jonathan Martin leaving the team due to alleged bullying in the locker room has been the biggest debate topic in sports. Â It has sparked the idea that maybe hazing in the locker room needs to be abolished all together. Â Others say it is just the way it is in football, and there is nothing wrong with it. Â No matter where you stand on the issue, only Martin knows how he was made to feel and what set him off. Â Today, he met with Ted Wells, the attorney hired by the NFL to look into the issue. Â Martin arrived with a companion to Wells’ Manhattan office this morning.
Martin is also supposed to meet with the Dolphins owner Stephen Ross who described this issue as his “worst nightmare”. Â Â Martin is allegedly being treated for depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Â PTSD is commonly seen in soldiers returning home from battle and those who survived a horrific incident. Â If it is true that he does suffer from PTSD then clearly this locker room was an unhealthy place to be around. Â The good news is that people close to Jonathan say that he does want to play football again.
