Yesterday, the Minnesota Timberwolves welcomed in the surging hot Miami Heat, but six foot, 175 pound guard, JJ Barea did not get to stay for the entire game.  During the game, Barea was guarding Ray Allen while Allen was clearly pushing off Barea it was Barea who was tossed from the game.  Tired of being pushed around, Barea decided to push back and somehow had enough strength to push Allen down to the ground.  I call it a flop, but the refs saw it as a flagrant foul TWO!

A category two flagrant foul results in a player’s ejection from the game.  A little excessive, but Barea made the mistake of admitting post game that the push was premeditated.  Barea was involved in a famous category two flagrant foul during the playoffs against the Lakers in which Andrew Bynum just threw him to the ground.  Watch the videos of both fouls and decide if they are worthy of the same call.
