It seems the NFL is not the only organization having problems disciplining players.  Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was expected to miss the first half of the Seminoles game today after the quarterback got up on a table and yelled obscenities in the school’s student union.  Originally, he was only expected to miss the first half of today’s game against Clemson.  However, after seeing the public opinion to the school’s laughable punishment, Winston will now sit out the entire game.

Winston apologized for his inappropriate action during a press conference, First of all, I want to apologize to the university, my coaches and to my teammates. I’m not a ‘me’ person, but in that situation, it was a selfish act, and that’s not how you do things around here.”

This is by far not the first time Winston has been in the headlines for bad behavior.  He was accused of sexual assault last season, yet never charged.  He did not miss a single minute of action for the accusation; he faced zero punishment.  He has also allegedly stolen crab legs from a local supermarket as well as countless other run-ins with the law.  Yet, now Florida State has decided to punish their star quarterback.  Seems a little too late if they were really interested in correcting this young man’s behavior.  But of course, winning is everything.
