As if we didn’t hear about it enough last year, it seems that Dwight Howard still isn’t happy and he is making it known publicly. Â Last year, Howard made it very clear that he was not happy being on the Orlando Magic because they were not a championship caliber team. Â Most people understood his notion, but nobody could understand why this was top of the news every single day for months straight. Â It was possibly the most over reported story all year (and that says a lot because it was the same year as Linsanity and Tebow time). Â It seems we are in for another year of Dwight drama.
However, this time people might be a little more sympathetic. Maybe… Â Dwight is on an even worse Los Angeles Lakers team with a coach that does not believe in defense and will probably not go to the playoffs. He has not looked like the dominant player he was a year ago at all this season. Â He looks like he is playing hurt and in turn he is only hurting his team’s chances. Â If I were him I would beg for a trade as soon as possible. Â This Lakers team is acting like the New York Jets. Â The only difference is that the Lakers are actually talented, but nothing seems to be clicking.
Dwight Howard going to Brooklyn just has to be done already. Â I don’t think anyone ever wants to hear about Howard being unhappy in the city that he is playing in. Â Lock him into a ten year deal and leave us alone. Â If you are still unhappy then retire because no one will feel bad or want to pick up Dwight who is having an awful year coming off of back surgery. Â I expect the Lakers to miss the playoffs and the Howard sweepstakes to start all over again.
