hi-res-7788288_crop_650If you have not heard about Jameis Winston, you must not be watching college football. Winston, the freshman quarterback for Florida State University, has taken the world by storm with calm demeanor in the pocket and accurate passing ability.  Some NFL teams could use this guy right now!  Throwing for over 2100 yards and 23 touchdowns, does not even accurately depict how good Winston has been for this Florida State team.  They are unbeaten and looking at a possible BCS National Championship bid.  One team looking to slow their roll, the Miami Hurricanes who are also undefeated.

Miami has a star player of their own. Running back Duke Johnson scored the game winning touchdown that helped the Canes avoid their first loss, a near upset by Wake Forest.  He has been such a huge weapon this year for them, already collecting 823 yards this season; last season he had 947 yards in total.  They will try to stay perfect again, but this time it will be much harder.  Even Miami head coach Al Golden praised Winston, “He’s talented. He’s mature with the football. Strong arm, can move his feet, can create from a bad situation and I just think he’s excellent. Regardless of his age or year in school, he’s excellent. He’s playing really well and they’re executing at a high level.”  Miami’s defense will have its work cut out for them this week, and their main goal is to keep Winston and FSU’s offense off the field for as long as possible.

This will be such a great game for two Southern Florida teams trying to establish dominance over the other. As hard as the Canes may prepare for this one, Winston has just been too good this season to bet against.  This offense is averaging over 52 points a game meaning their offense is controlling time of possession and making opposing defenses very tired.  The Seminoles are a 21 point favorite in this matchup which is very disrespectful to Miami, but it speaks on how good this Florida State team is. FSU vs. Miami- who you takin?
