Former President George H. W. Bush threw two first pitches when Texas A&M hosted Yale Saturday at Blue Bell Park. The former commander-in-chief has ties to both schools, as his presidential library is located in College Station and he played baseball while at Yale, so he threw out two pitches: one to an Aggie and one to a Bulldog.

Before the game, Bush was honored with two framed jerseys, one from each team. The 41st president, 91, was a first baseman and captain for Yale in the first two college world series in the 1940s and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum was dedicated on Texas A&M’s campus in 1997.

The Aggies wore special red, white, and blue uniforms with the number “41” on the sleeve. The Aggies went on to beat the Bulldogs 13-0 in the second game of a three game series.
