Tomorrow is the big day for both the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams officially start the 2012 season of football in New York. This game has as much excitement around it as if it were a playoff game. Both teams have gone back and forth with the trash talking, but it really comes down what goes on during the game. The Giants have released their injury report and as expected cornerback Prince Amukamara will miss the season opener for the second straight year. The Giants’ secondary has always been a spot of weakness, but the Giants can rest assure that Michael Coe and the rest of the cornerbacks will have quite a tough night as they are expected to be Romo’s main target to test. The Cowboys’ tight end Jason Witten who suffered a spleen injury is not likely to play tomorrow. A huge loss as he is one of Romo’s favorite targets. Manning’s favorite target, Hakeem Nicks, is listed as questionable, but has announced time and time again that he will be playing tomorrow. Linebackers Michael Boley and Mathias Kiwanuka are also listed as questionable, but say there is no way they will not be on the field tomorrow. Somehow, the Giants are not favored to even get back to the playoffs, yet the Cowboys are and the Giants are the favorite tomorrow. Does not quite add up, but the Giants have always said that they like to prove everyone wrong and that is their goal yet again. Football officially kicks off tomorrow night at 8:30 pm.
