topper-montanaCandlestick Parkis filled with moments that will live on forever,  but unfortunately the stadium itself will not.  Tonight will be the last game played in Candlestick as the 49ers take on the Atlanta Falcons to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Falcons have had a very disappointing season after losing two of its top offensive weapons and only have pride to play for.

When you think about Candlestick Park and the San Francisco 49ers, one name comes to mind, Joe Montana. Arguably the best quarterback to ever play in the NFL, Montana announced that he will not be in attendance for the final game.  Instead he will be watching the game from home, spending time with his family.  While he won four Super Bowl titles with the 49ers, the relationship between the team and Montana has been strained since their messy split.

As we say goodbye to the ‘Stick, we remember all the memorable moments that took place there and of course, the fog.  Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers have no time to reminisce on their stadium’s history as Atlanta looks to end their playoff hopes tonight.
