For months, fans and non-fans of the Cowboys have been wondering about Dez Bryant. When he had the franchise tag placed on him in March, it was clear that Bryant was not happy. For months and months after, Bryant took to his twitter to vent about how he felt about the tag. Even after all of the tweets by Bryant, comments made by the Jones Family and Bryant threatening to sit out games just to prove a point, it looks like it finally worked.

Dez Bryant’s management agency, Roc Nation has worked with Dallas to come up with a long-term contract for the wide receiver. According to Adam Schefter’s twitter, the deal is $70 Million Dollars for 5 years with a $45 million dollars guaranteed and a $20 million dollar bonus when he signs. As of right now according to Adam Schefter’s twitter, it is rumored that Bryant is driving up to Valley Ranch in Dallas to sign his contract. Bryant will be making more than Calvin Johnson who is only making 43.8 million dollars.

Right now, it looks like Cowboys made the right decision in choosing Bryant over Demarco Murray. Bryant is a physical powerhouse, freak athlete, had 16 touchdowns (the most in the NFL) last year, and plays an irreplaceable role in the Dallas Cowboys offense. Bryant had one of his best seasons last year and it looks to be a repeat performance for Bryant at least. As a Cowboys fan, I am completely ecstatic to report this fantastic news about Dez Bryant finally getting the contract that he deserves.
