The Blackhawks have won 11 straight games, and are aiming for a 12th straight win in an attempt to tie the NHL record of 17 consecutive regular-season set by the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1992-93 season.  The Panthers were the last team this season to chase this record, but their win streak ended at 12 games.

The win streak started with Chicago’s 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in their last game before the Christmas break. This week the Hawks are first in the Central Division with 66 points.  The team is happy with their recent play, including the success of current NHL scoring leader Patrick Kane, who has 29 goals and 40 assists so far this season.

The Blackhawks are going for their next win on Tuesday when they take on the Nashville Predators. Many fans are hoping that the Blackhawk’s proven consistency and big-game play can grab them the win and eventually the 17-game NHL record.
