Another Christmas day filled with NBA games has come and gone.  None were more intriguing than Lebron James and the Cavaliers trip to Miami to play the Heat.  James spent four seasons with the team and went to the NBA Finals all four years, winning two titles. James was beloved in Miami as he played alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

After the game, James admitted that this was an emotional game for him.  “It’s tough to play under these circumstances, man,” James said. “You’re so used to playing regular-season games, and then you have to play one like this. Or my first home game, when I went back home (this season), my first home game. So, it’s very difficult.”  During player introductions, James received a very nice reception from the Miami crowd who mostly cheered for their former star player.

James embraced each and every player on the Heat, laughing and joking around with Dwyane Wade.  The Heat showed a lot of respect for him, playing a video tribute of all his great moments during a timeout. Unfortunately, the Cavaliers could not come away with a win as Wade had an unbelievable game.  This was the first game Kevin Love had to play center for Cleveland as Anderson Varejao is now out for the season. He contributed fourteen points, but most notably got dunked on by Wade. Wade finished with 31 points, scoring 24 in the first half.  Miami went on to win 101-91.
