The Dodgers won a must-win Game 5 and now they face another must-win game. Â Game 6 is sure to be a pitching duel as one of the best, if not the best, pitcher, Clayton Kershaw, and rookie sensation Michael Wacha square off. Â Wacha took a no-hitter into the eight inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NLDS. Â The Dodgers will need all the help they can get tonight to get some offense going and hope that Hanley Ramirez and Andre Ethier are good to go tonight. Â Manager Don Mattingly expressed optimism about players.
These two teams are doing everything they can to take jabs at one another. Â It may have all started when Hanely Ramirez was hit by a pitch in game 1 that resulted in a hairline fracture of one of his ribs. Â It was then the Dodgers turn, with Yasiel Puig flipping his bat on a triple which irked both Adam Wainwright and Carlos Beltran. Â Adrian Gonzalez followed up his home run trot with a “Mickey Mouse” gesture towards the Cardinals after pitcher Wainwright considered Puig’s bat flip “Mickey Mouse antics”.
I think this series is not meant to end yet and the Dodgers will win tonight and take us to a Game 7. Â It is too hard to bet against a pitcher as dominant as Clayton Kershaw. Â The Dodgers lineup has looked hotter than ever with Adrian Gonzalez hitting two home runs in the last game. Â While Carlos Beltran has been incredible in the postseason, it will take more than Beltran to win this game and it is hard to string hits together against Kershaw. Â Cardinals vs. Dodgers- who you takin?
