Arguably the two best teams in the NFL face off in an AFC West divisional game. Â The last undefeated team the Kansas City Chiefs and arguably the MVP this season Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos square off tonight. Â It will be the NFL’s best offense against the NFL’s best defense. Â It does not get much better if you are a football fan.
Unfortunately, Peyton Manning will likely be playing at less than 100 percent. Â Manning is still dealing with a high ankle sprain that was re-aggrivated last week against the San Diego Chargers. Â Look for the Chiefs defensive front to exploit Manning’s injury. Â These two teams are very different. Â The Chiefs have a hard hitting defense with a very safe and accurate offense. Â The Broncos also have a hard hitting defense, not quite as good as the Chiefs, but their offense is by far the most explosive in the league. Â Alex Smith will have to carry this team as the Broncos are very good at stopping the run. They have had a lot of problems controlling the passing game and this may finally be the game that Smith takes some shots down the field.
This is a great matchup, but I will give the edge to the home team, the Denver Broncos. Â As hobbled as Manning may be , it is still Peyton Manning, Â He will find a way to get it done tonight. Â The Chiefs will try and pressure him all night, but this Broncos offensive line will finally play better. Â Broncos vs. Chiefs- who you takin?
