Well, not the kind that swim in the ocean. I am a big fan of the ABC show Shark Tank and on tonight’s episode there was a special guest from the NFL. He may not have seen one snap all year yet, but San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs showed up on the screen. No he was not looking for someone to invest in his career, but instead he was endorsing a product called Pro-NRG. It is a protein based drink that can be used to better a person’s workout.
Jacobs explained that during last year’s Super Bowl the entire team took it at half time and might have helped fuel the Giants comeback over the New England Patriots. Maybe it helped, but either way it was a great pitch by Brandon. So great in face that the creator, a woman from New Jersey, got a shark to bite! Daymond John, the creator of FUBU, gave her a deal. Brandon Jacobs’ two Super Bowl rings also made guest appearances on the show.
