Kentucky Arkansas Basketball.JPEG-03b74It has been a crazy season for college basketball with all the early favorites struggling to win games against opponents they were easily favored in.  Last night, number 13 ranked Kentucky took on unranked Arkansas in a game that Julius Randle and the Wildcats should have been able to win.

However, Kentucky allowed Arkansas to keep the game close and at the end of regulation, the game was tied at 74.   Arkansas has always done well against Kentucky, beating them their last three match ups.  This time it took a thunderous dunk from Michael Qualls who leads the Razorbacks in scoring per game; he averages 12.7 points per game.

With the game still tied, Arizona’s Ky Madden attempted a three point shot that missed, but Qualls who was in the perfect location, jumped up and slammed the ball through the net to put them up two with .2 seconds left in overtime.  The home crowd went nuts like out of a movie!  Kentucky just completely lost Qualls on the floor and did not box him out and prevent him from getting the second chance shot. Kentucky’s players ended up just watching the dunk like the rest of us.  Quall finished with 18 points, while Kentucky’s Julius Randle finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
