Detroit Lions v Minnesota Vikings It made him the MVP last year, so why not do it again?  Running back Adrian Peterson has gone under the knife again this offseason.  Last season, he famously had surgery on a torn ACL and MCL.  This season, he is fixing a sports hernia, a painful abdominal condition that Peterson played through all season.

The Minnesota Vikings have not indicated when the injury occurred, but Peterson is said to be doing well and the Vikings expect a speedy recovery for their superstar.  Peterson came within nine yards of Eric Dickerson’s all time single season rushing record this past year.  Anybody want to say that this guy didn’t deserve the MVP now?
