The Anaheim Ducks are not having much luck with goalie lately. Star goalies Frederik Andersen and John Gibson will have their place taken until further notice by Igor Bobkov from the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals.

Andersen is still a day-to-day case with leg tightness, but John Gibson is gone for six weeks due to a groin injury. This happened during pregame warmups right before Anaheim’s away game against the Colorado Avalanche on November 2.

Because of the sudden injuries, Bobkov’s Admirals teammate, Jason LaBarbera, was called to fill in, which made it three games in three days for him. He ended up winning the game for the Ducks 3-2.  Dwayne Roloson was also present as an emergency backup goalie but LaBarbera had everything under control.

The big question is how much will Bobkov and LaBarbera actually play for the big boys? It is still questionable that they might even play against the New York Islanders this Wednesday because Andersen is recovering day-to-day.
