Chris Culliver, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL, was arrested today in San Jose, California.  Police have charged the cornerback with felony hit and run, reckless driving causing an injury, and possession of a weapon.  Allegedly, Culliver struck a person riding on a bike and did not stop.

An eyewitness tried to block Culliver’s vehicle, but allegedly Culliver got out of the car and threatened the eyewitness with brass knuckles that he had in the car.  When he drove off he hit the eyewitness’ car which got him an additional misdemeanor charge of hit and run.

When cops searched his vehicle, they located the brass knuckles.  The bicyclist was taken to the hospital and released a short time after. Culliver was booked at the Santa Clara jail.  The 49ers released a statement to KTVU after learning about the cornerback’s arrest.

“The 49ers organization is aware of the recent matter involving Chris Culliver. “We will remain in contact with Chris and the local authorities as we continue to gather the facts regarding this situation. As this is an ongoing legal matter, we will reserve further comment at this time.”

Culliver was arrested for allegedly running someone over and still has his job.  Ravens running back Ray Rice was arrested for allegedly beating his fiancee, but still has a job.  Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson allegedly as some questionable friends and is now on the unemployment line.  Fair?
