137719-650-366-1Winning the BCS Championship one year is an accomplishment, to win two in two years is almost unheard of.  However, the Alabama Roll Tide rolled past undefeated Notre Dame to win their second glass trophy in two years.  The team had a great season, but suffered a loss to Heisman Trophy Winner Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies.

In the game they faced a Notre Dame team who impressed many, but seemed to be overrated.  Running back Eddie Lacy, now with the Green Bay Packers, won the MVP award for the game; he had 140 yards on 20 carries, including a touchdown.  It was routing by Alabama who won 42-14 to crush Notre Dame’s hopes of having a perfect season.

The team was becoming a dynasty with Nick Saban running the show and everyone expected the Tide to compete for their third title in a row, however, after a wild loss to the Auburn Tigers, Alabama will not be in the big game. Instead they will compete in the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma.
