There used to be this great sport that was played on ice and involved sticks, full pads, and lots of hitting. Â Sounds pretty good right? Â Too bad it looks like hockey is something for the history books. Â It seems like every sport went through a lockout. Â Most people were horrified with the thought that football could be cancelled, but the NHL has not received the same amount of love. Â It is pretty surprising because hockey is one of the best sports and one of the only sports that hitting is encouraged. Â It has been going on for months, but it does not seem like the two sides are any closer to coming to an agreement than they were on day one. Â Over 500 games have been cancelled through the end of the year and it seems like it will likely result in a full season cancelled. Â Hopefully the players association and the owners can come to some kind of agreement to get some hockey in.
