Reunited and it feels so good! Former Yankee pitcher, Andy Pettitte, has signed a minor league deal with club. The deal is reportedly a one-year deal worth $2.5 million. I am sure that contract will make every other minor leaguer quite jealous. Is this a good move? I am sure Yankee fans will be split with some excited to see a very familiar face who has had great success with the club while others will wonder what Pettitte still has left in the tank. Pettitte is 39 and has not played in the majors since 2010 where he went 11-3 with a 3.28 ERA. Of course those are impressive numbers especially for a superstar on the decline. He, of course, is one of the greatest Yankee pitchers ever in the franchise, but will he come back as that tough and intimidating player on the mound? I am sure the Yankees will make sure he makes a major league appearance if not for anything more than to boost ticket sales. So does this mean Jorge Posada is next to come out of retirement?
