Screen-shot-2012-11-20-at-5.53.56-AMHe has yet to play a single minute in the NBA, but Shabazz Muhammad has already made headlines for all the wrong lessons.  He was the 14th pick in the draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.    Muhammad along with the other rookies in this year’s draft class, are currently in Florham Park, NJ where they are attending the NBA’s Rookie Transition Program.  Here they take seminars and listen to guest speakers about making the transition to the NBA.  How ironic!

Muhammad was kicked out of the program after it was discovered that a female was staying in his hotel room.  Guests who are not cleared by the program officials are not allowed. Muhammad had been briefed about these rules earlier in the day. Mario Chalmers and Darrell Author were also kicked out the program when officials found females and marijuana in their hotel rooms.  They were also fined $20,000 each.  Muhammad will be forced to attend the program again next year with the new draft class.  Probably not the best way to start off your NBA career! Muhammad was highly scrutinized as a college player at UCLA for some ridiculous reasons including carrying a Gucci backpack, but this is not helping prove that he can be professional.
