super-bowl-xlviii-preview-seattle-seahawks-denver-broncos.jpg?w=600&h=425It is finally time to crown a new team Super Bowl champions! After weeks and weeks of media coverage, the Seahawks and Broncos will play today at MetLife Stadium.  Will Peyton Manning finish his historic year by hoisting the Lombardi trophy?   Will Richard Sherman silence all of his new critics by winning Super Bowl 48 MVP?

We have heard for the past two weeks about the number one offense battling the number one defense.  We know what both of these teams are capable of doing. While all eyes are on Manning and his complement of receiver, the Denver defense has quietly stepped and played incredibly well during the playoffs.  The Seattle offense has played well, but will definitely need to play better.  Marshawn Lynch has been in BeastMode all season, Russell Wilson and his receivers will need to add the passing game into their offensive repertoire today.

Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, there is no debating that.  With a win today, he would become the only starting quarterback in NFL history to win the Super Bowl playing for two different teams.  He has also become a story of never giving up.  After undergoing four neck surgeries just three years ago and having doctors tell him he would have to retire, he has proven everyone wrong by coming back stronger and playing quarterback better than he ever has in his career.   Does Manning have anything left to prove?  Absolutely not, but that does not mean he is not motivated to win today’s game.

The Seahawks do not have one active player who ever played in a Super Bowl before, but you would never know by their confidence.  One thing that sets the Seahawks apart is how much confidence they play with.  They expect to make a big play on every down of the game.  That is what has made them one of the most feared teams to play against.

For the final game of the season and Super Bowl crown, Seahawks vs. Broncos- who you takin?
