It looks like it is going to be a long five years for New York Jets fans. After being a front runner in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, the Jets have chosen a different route. The Jets have extended current quarterback Mark Sanchez’s contract for three years; Sanchez had two years remaining of his contract. Now let me get this straight… Eli Manning wins the Super Bowl, Super Bowl MVP, and was one of the most clutch quarterbacks this year took a pay cut to better his team, whileMark Sanchez threw a career-high 26 interceptions, looked lost during most plays, and led his team nowhere in the offseason except the beach got an extension. In what world does that make sense? Why would a franchise reward below average quarterback play? How does this help clear the tension that was the New York Jets locker room? Does this mean Rex Ryan is still going to brag about being the better New York team? This team is more of a reality drama than a respected NFL team. Hopefully, Jets fans have become complacent and will not be as disappointed when their team slips further and further away into mediocrity. LETS JUST REMEMBER WHO GOT A RING THIS YEAR!!!!!!!
