It brings me great sadness to write this post and announce the death of a true legend. Joe Paterno, the legendary head football coach for PennState over 46 years has finally passed away. It was reported that his health was failing yesterday and was living on a ventilator. As disgraceful as his firing may have been, no one can take away what Paterno has done for PennState and all of college football. It is a great loss for everyone. There was a candle light vigil outside the hospital last night in which people from all walks of life showed up. He leaves behind a widow, Susan, and five children. Jay Paterno recently resigned from working with the PennState football team. I am glad he went peacefully and with all his loved ones around him. My prayers are with his family now. He truly will be missed and I will always consider him a game changer and legend.
