The Redskins were going along smoothly after having a good draft, including drafting one of the top offensive linemen prospects Brandon Scherff, until today.  During an interview with 106.7 the Fan, Washington general manager Scot McCloughan was asked about Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper playing in the NFL.  His answer was, well not good.

He went on to say,  “I went to a game a couple weeks ago, and he flipped his hips and caught a fly ball out in right field in the corner, and I thought, maybe [cornerback]. But I’m thinking, uhh, okay, no, he’s gotta be a safety. He’s a white guy.”

Seriously? What were you thinking with that answer? Maybe he thought he was being funny, but for a guy who works for a team with a team name that is considered racist really should know better.  Another day, another person in the NFL says something publicly they will end up regretting.
