New York Fashion Week: Men’s has officially kicked off, and The Impression/CFDA has presented this season’s ambassadors which includes Eric Decker, Matt Harvey, Victor Cruz. Though these athletes are among the most well-known in America, not just New York, they still have time to showcase their sense of style through top menswear trends, dressed by some of the best designers the world has ever seen.

New York Jets wide receiver, Eric Decker, recently helped break the NFL record for most touchdowns by a receiving tandem, so it isn’t surprising that he has become an influential force for one of the most important weeks New York sees. Decker has gained widespread fame with his wife, country-pop singer/songwriter Jessie James Decker through their E! reality show, Eric & Jessie: Game On, but he doesn’t seem to have a problem making a name for himself. He’s graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, hosted his own GQ magazine party, and now he’ll serve as one of the five ambassadors of NYFW: Men’s. If he follows in the same steps as New York Giants Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr., he’ll be sitting next to Anna Wintour soon enough.

Since being in New York City, Mets’ pitcher Matt Harvey’s love of fashion has blossomed. When he’s not on the field in blue and orange, he’s in John Varvatos and Rag & Bone. The MLB athlete has modeled in the New York Post wearing some of the top designers for men including Gucci, Michael Bastian, and Marc Jacobs. Get ready, NYC, Harvey Day is coming early this year.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is on the NYFW: Men’s Ambassador roster. After all, he’s been dubbed the “front-row regular”. Cruz is incredibly busy with his own clothing line, “Young Whales”, and attending show after show in New York, including Public School and a football-themed Tommy Hilfiger show and Milan.  While showing off his street style in Diane von Furstenberg, he has also found time to model for Givenchy.  Cruz does have some experience at fashion events, making an appearance at Fashion Rocks in 2014, NYFW: Men’s could not have picked a more perfect ambassador than Cruz. Sure, football season may be over, but his fashion season is only at its beginning. Watch out, OBJ!

Motivational speaker and fitness trainer Shaun T and German model Johannes Huebl join the New York Athletes as NYFW: Men’s ambassadors as well.
