Superstars are just dropping like flies in Lakerland.  First Dwight Howard took a $30 million pay cut to go to the Houston Rockets.  Now, the Lakers have decided to use the amnesty clause on Metta World Peace.  The Lakers will still pay World Peace’s salary, but it will not count against the salary cap.  General manager Mutch Kupchak has the following to say regarding the decision, “It’s tough to say goodbye to a player such as Metta, who has been a significant part of our team the past four seasons. For anyone who’s had the opportunity to get to know him, it’s impossible not to love him.”
